Cancellation policy

Booking conditions & Cancellation Policy “Hotel Mariani”


Please read carefully the booking rules below. Each reservation, after its confirmation, has contract value according to the Italian law in force. The contract is binding on the person making the reservation and for all the other subjects mentioned in the same, including minors.

1. Booking

You can send a request for availability and wait for our answer.

Following the request you will be sent an offer (non-binding). The reservation must be confirmed only after our written notice showing the total price of the stay and after the payment of the deposit, to be made within 3 days of our confirmation. If the payment is not made in the required time, the reservation is to be understood as nothing.

The reservation becomes binding on Hotel Mariani only upon receipt of a copy of the receipt of payment of the deposit or credit card details on which to make the authorized withdrawal. Send a copy of the payment by e-mail ( or by fax to (+39) 0731 200011.

At this point Hotel Mariani will endeavor to send a confirmation e-mail or a summary voucher to be displayed at check-in. Booking confirmation implies acceptance of our cancellation and deposit. We kindly ask you to check the accuracy of the data of this confirmation and to notify us as soon as possible of any anomaly. The communication must arrive within and not more than 4 days after receiving it.

After this time we will decline any liability for any inaccuracies.

Upon arrival, it is mandatory to submit a recognition document for each person.

To make changes to the booking you must contact the front desk staff who will do everything they can to satisfy your request. However, we can not guarantee the fulfillment of this request. If the reservation is moved to a period in which the price is higher than the amount paid, the customer is required to pay the difference.

2. Payment

General conditions:

Payment of a deposit (not including accommodation tax and optional services) is required within 3 days of booking confirmation. In case of no receipt of the deposit within the indicated dates, the reservation is null. The same goes for the balance. In the case of non-payment of the balance, the reservation will be canceled.

The amount of the deposit is 30% of the stay up to 3 nights, while for stays longer than 50% of the total amount. As provided by the Italian Civil Code to Art. 1385, will not be returned in case of cancellation or no presentation.

Accepted payment methods: bank transfer and credit card.

The balance of the reservation must be paid on departure. Any extras must be wound up before departure.

indicating the date of your reservation, the telephone number and the email address, you will receive confirmation.


Hotel Mariani reserves the right to check the validity of the credit card before the arrival of the client requesting a pre-authorization to the circuit belonging. With pre-authorization the hotel guarantees the temporary availability of the total amount of the stay, or part of it, to make sure that the credit card is valid. NO AMOUNT IS INCREASED.

Preauthorization expires automatically after 20 days from the date requested and the amount is released. In the case of a failed pre-authorization the customer will be warned and the reservation will be canceled. In this case the hotel will have no obligation towards the customer.

Advance Payment, “Non-Refundable”:

If this special rate is booked, the full amount is charged on the credit card or requested by bank transfer. The full amount is not refundable in any case. Different payment terms may apply in certain periods. Please refer to your reservation confirmation.

Prolongation of stay:

The extension of the stay requires an additional reservation and is subject to availability and fare rates.

3. Cancellation policy (individual bookings)

Any booking cancellation must be notified in writing. For cancellation policy please refer to your reservation confirmation.

If canceled or modified up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. For cancellations or changes beyond this time period, the first night rate will be charged on the credit card as a guarantee, for each room canceled for stays up to 3 nights, while for longer stays, 50% of the total amount stay booked.

This cancellation policy is not valid for the non-refundable rate (in this case the amount of the reservation will be charged at the time of the reservation and will not be refunded if canceled).

Cancellations for holiday periods (Christmas, New Year, Easter, etc.) or High Season (22 – 25 September): Will be accepted up to a week before the check-in date.

Hotel Mariani reserves the right to credit the total amount due for cancellations after this period.

No refund is payable to the guest who decides to interrupt the stay already taken and is therefore required to pay for the entire stay booked

NoShow: (miss-presentation)

In the event of a non-presentation, the deposit will be withheld, or the credit card will be charged as a guarantee for the cost of the first night.

4. Booking and Cancellation Policy GROUPS

By making a reservation, the person completing the process is identified as a group referent and confirms that it is authorized by the other participants to comply with the

Booking and Cancellation Policy of Hotel Mariani. The group’s referent is responsible for the total billing for all reservations that he has confirmed. Requests after the expiration date must be communicated directly and exclusively by the parent company. Reservations do not change. It would be necessary to cancel your reservation and make a new one.


A deposit of 30% or 50% of the total of the booked services will be required upon booking confirmation. Confirmation deposit is never refundable.

Rooming list:

The group referent is responsible for sending the final list of guests as soon as possible and no less than 15 days before arrival.

Any cancellations must be made in writing (via e-mail or fax).

Canceled reservations will be subject to penalties as follows: Up to 30 days prior to arrival no penalty will be charged; 29 to 15 days before arrival, the deposit will be retained and an additional penalty of 30% of the entire booked stay will be charged; from 15 days to 7 days before the arrival date will be retained the deposit and applied a further penalty equal to 50% of the entire booked stay; from 7 to 0 days before the arrival date will be charged a penalty equal to 100% of the entire booked stay.

In case of no show or early departure, a penalty will be charged 100% of the total stay.

Early departures will be charged for the entire booked stay.

Booking confirmation implies acceptance of our cancellation and deposit.

5. Causes of Force majeure

The management declines any liability for service failure due to missed supplies, fortuitous equipment failure, or other causes of force majeure. We do not accept any liability for damage caused by other guests, from atmospheric events, natural disasters, epidemics, illness and theft.
